With the continuous development of the social economy and the strengthening of anti-terrorism efforts, police video surveillance faces severe challenges. Traditional standard-definition analog video social surveillance can no longer meet the requirements of public security. High-definition IP video has become a new powerful tool for monitoring. However, this also brings increasingly higher demands on transmission access bandwidth. High bandwidth, high security, and multi-service mixed transmission have become inevitable choices. Currently, point-to-point transmission and Ethernet-shared single-service access in access networks cannot meet user needs. Compared to the traditional solution of adding multiple coverage devices on existing networks, a single multi-service access platform has become a better choice.
The GAN800 centralized gigabit Ethernet optical terminal is an integrated platform combining system management, scheduled monitoring, fiber transmission, and program-controlled switching functions. It is specially designed to meet the upgrade needs of police networks at levels three, four, and five, featuring large capacity, multi-service, high scalability, and high reliability. A single device can support up to 2048 telephone extensions and can transmit multiple channels of bidirectional uncompressed video, multiple physically isolated 1000M Ethernet, multiple physically isolated 100M Ethernet, multiple telephone lines, multiple high-fidelity audio channels, multiple RS232/485/422 asynchronous data channels, multiple switch signals, and multiple E1 signals over a single-core single-mode fiber, achieving networking for police levels three, four, and five. This series of optical terminals can be optionally equipped with dual-fiber backup functionality to protect fiber routes and fully supports Hengjie Communication's iNet View G2000 network management platform.
The GAN800 optical terminal adopts a modular design providing network management cards, optical transceiver boards, program-controlled switching boards, and function expansion boards for various services. The optical transceiver boards feature high-speed optical transmission channels supporting bidirectional video, gigabit Ethernet, and 100-megabit Ethernet services. The function expansion boards include multiple telephone extension boards, digital signaling, and data/switch quantity expansion boards to extend low-speed services. Various optical transceiver boards and function expansion boards connect to the chassis's high-speed backplane through a unified interface. The remote integrated service optical terminal can be optionally equipped with different functional optical transceiver boards and freely combined with different function expansion boards to transmit various services and meet different functional requirements for a centralized gigabit Ethernet optical terminal.
